With over 40yrs. of engine and ladder tactical experience he has covered all types of structures from Hi-rise to PD's. A Lt. since 1997, he has seen both sides of firefighting, the hands-on work and the leadership aspect. He is a Certified AHA CPR instructor as well as an NYS Fire Instructor. He has lectured in many venues, including Delaware Vol. Firefighter Conference, Firehouse Expo 2010, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 FDIC 2011 and actively participates in the hands-on training. He has also helped train U.S. Marines and U.S. Air Force personnel in rescue ops. Remember," A leader is a person you will follow to a place you wouldn't go by yourself"...Pictured (L-R) Lt. An 14yr. FDNY member. He has SOC training which increases his knowledge of tactics and procedures. His mild manner allows his teaching knowledge to easily be absorbed by all students.
Jerry Smith Jr. is a graduate of Loyola Univ. of MD. and has been a member of the Baltimore City Fire Department since 2004. He holds the rank of Firefighter Paramedic. He is a member and an instructor of BCFD Special Operations. Jerry has been a Dive Rescue Team member since 2006. FFPM Smith is also a volunteer firefighter with the Fort Washington Volunteer Fire Company in Montgomery County, PA. He has been a member there
Lt. Tom Wutz, a certified N.Y.S. Fire Instructor with 16 yrs. FDNY experience. A former Salem NH firefighter, CRFD, Cold Water Rescue certified and he also instructs at the Orange County
Fire Training Center. His vast teaching capabilities are on display at Legacy.

is a 13 yr. FDNY member. A 16 yr. member of Nesconset FD & former Capt. of Lad. Rescue 2. Certified in Advanced Forcible Entry, RIT, Haz-Mat ops, RescueTech Basic, Heavy Rescue 1&2, member Nesconset FD Dive Team, Certified NYS Instructor, NYS CFRD certified.
